It is just 20 minutes away from Lagos, Algarve. Here you will find the perfect balance between your surfing holiday experience, local culture and surfing vibe and atmosphere.

Our surf lessons are suited for all levels. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced surfer, we’ll help you progress at your own pace and reach your goals. Our experienced local instructors are passionate about sharing their knowledge. Since in our surf & stay packs you will have 2h30 per day we will manage tides and swell the best o deliver to you the best possible experience. Meaning: Split (or not) the lesson in 2 if necessary.

surf Levels

This is a good explanation of what you can achieve during the surf course. Progression will depend on your motivation, sports skills, fitness and mostly the waves conditions ( it's the only one factor we can’t control ) All levels use soft boards. Soft boards are fun, safe and yes they can turn like hard and short boards.

Level 1

Stand up: white waters

– How to be in the water, bond with the board and the waves.

– The basics of the stand up and ride the wave with a smile.

– Which 3 main factors will make them achieve a faster progression. (Speed, Balance and timing)

Level 2

Control: white waters

– Controlled and timed stand up

– Speed up and stop the board.

– Choosing waves wisely.

Level 3

Drive: white waters

– Learn the basics of turning the board in the white water (right and left).

– Understand how important it’s to read the wave and time your maneuvers to perform well in the wave. (Low speed = low balance)

Level 4

Surf's up: Green waves

– The basics of surfing green waves
– The importance of choosing the right equipment according to your level
– How evaluate surfing conditions from the beach
– Rips/currents ( all beaches are different)
– Turtle rolls, sit on the board, quick turns while sitting to improve the timing of the paddle with the wave
– Surf green waves to the right and left

Level 5

Surf's up: Green waves

– Learn how to generate speed on the wave ( trimming)

– Learn why a perfect bottom turn it’s the most important maneuver on surfing

– Introduction of new maneuvers ( frontside and backside snap, cutback, carve)

– Correction of weight transitions and toes to heels transfers
